DAVID F. BARON has been admitted to practice in Florida and New York since 1980. David graduated in 1979 with honors from the University of Miami School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from Lafayette College. While in law school he was the Editor of The Slip Sheet and Vice Chairman of the Moot Court Board. He was awarded the Roger Sorino Award and was an instructor in the first advance moot court course at the law school.

After working as an attorney in New York City David returned to Miami and began practicing as a plaintiff's personal injury lawyer. He has tried in excess of 100 jury trials, is A.V. rated by Martindale Hubbell, and is board certified in civil trial practice. He has obtained numerous large personal injury and medical malpractice verdicts and settlements. David teaches lawyers at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He is also an Executive Vice President at Temple Beth Am and a member of the Junior Orange Bowl basketball committee.

JON M. HERSKOWITZ joined his father as a partner in The Herskowitz Law Firm in 1994. Prior to that time, he was a prosecutor at the State Attorney's Office for five years where he investigated and prosecuted over 65 jury trials. Jon graduated from the University of Georgia and earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1989 from Emory University School of Law. He has been a lecturer and published articles for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Jon is a member of the Florida Bar, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyers Association as well as other professional organizations. He also has been active for many years in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Jon brings to his work an expansive knowledge of Florida and Federal law as an experienced litigator in a variety of cases.

Jon has been chosen by his peers as one of Florida's Legal Elite and a Super Lawyer for the State of Florida. JACK L. HERSKOWITZ (Of Counsel) was the founding member of the Herskowitz Law Firm and is now of counsel with Baron & Herskowitz while still handling significant cases for individuals damaged or injured. Jack got his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami Law School where he was a member of Law Review. Jack is a member of the Florida Bar and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He is a board certified trial attorney, who has practiced law in Miami, Florida, for more than 35 years. Jack has handled many Plaintiff's injury and death cases through the years and has obtained large verdicts and settlements for his clients.

KAREN B. BERNSTEIN (Of Counsel) has been admitted to practice in Florida and Massachusetts since 1983. She is a graduate of Boston College Law School and has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tufts University. She has worked with her husband, David Baron, on a number of large cases specializing in medical documentation.

LORI (HERSKOWITZ) FRIEDMAN (Of Counsel) is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Miami School of Law. She has worked in various areas of general civil practice and has considerable experience in preparing cases for trial. In 2001, Lori received a pro bono award for "Social Security Disability Panel". Lori has handled numerous cases involving social security and has developed a special expertise in that area.
